Meet Hilary, our Psychotherapist.

Hilary has spent the last 15 years teaching yoga alongside working as a careers adviser in universities. In the past half-decade, she embarked on a transformative journey into psychotherapy, driven by a profound curiosity about the synergy between the body and mind in the realm of healing.

Never satisfied with just one job, she also works as a learning designer, creating online and face-to-face training programmes for the Department for Education in the Civil Service. She also continues to teach yoga in Sheffield, running residential yoga and meditation retreats in beautiful locations in the UK and France.

Outside of work, she enjoys singing, playing cello and walking with her dog Milo with her partner and daughter in Sheffield.

Hilary's areas of special interest are

  • Anxiety disorders

  • Depression

  • Relationship and interpersonal difficulties

  • Grief and loss

  • Self-esteem and self-confidence issues

  • Career and work-related challenges (I used to be a careers adviser!)

  • Life transitions and major life changes

  • Parenting and family issues

  • Coping with chronic illnesses and medical conditions

  • Anger management

  • Emotional regulation

  • Psychosomatic disorders

  • Existential and philosophical dilemmas

  • Personal growth, self-awareness, and self-improvement
